AN OVERVIEW OF BRAZIL

Brazil is famous worldwide for its continental size, rainforests, beaches, the diversity of its people, and, of course, carnival. In addition, the largest country in Latin America is also home to a vibrant culture that delights the senses and the mind – from Tom Jobim’s tunes of Bossa Nova and Samba to the sinuous lines of Oscar Niemeyer’s magnificent architectural work. We couldn’t  fail to mention the colorful, spicy, and flavor-rich Brazilian cuisine.

Beyond its charm, Brazil is also an influential and prominent business destination!

● It is the world’s fifth-largest country by area, with an estimated population of over 217 million – one of the world’s most populous countries.

● Brazil’s economy is the third largest in the Americas, after the USA and Canada, and its GDP is ranked the 12th largest in the world.  Brazil has a diversified economy with solid companies in the agricultural, commodities, and service sectors.

● Brazil has long been a focus of emerging markets investments since it was appointed a member of the “BRIC” countries in 2001.
